Step One
Prepare approximately 1 milligram of your antigen in 3 milliliters of phosphate buffered saline (PBS).
Dialysis or a minimum 1:20 dilution is suggested.
Divide the antigen to 5 x 500 µl aliquots in microfuge tubes and freeze at -20 to -70 °C.
Step Two
Place the order using VISA/MC or purchase order.
Step Three
Send us the prepared antigen, frozen on dry ice. Be sure to include a packing slip indicating the shipping and billing addresses as well as current contact information should we have a question..
Step Four
We then take your antigen and initiate a standard immunization protocol using two brown leghorn hens that have been timed for egg production. A serum sample is collected prior to immunization (2 eggs available upon request) and twelve immune eggs (six per animal) are collected one week after the final booster immunization. The eggs are stored at 2 - 8°C until shipment to you via overnight express carrier.
If any additional services have been ordered (immunoaffinity purification, biotin/enzyme conjugation, etc) the eggs will be used for these procedures and the resulting finished product shipped instead.
Please note that we cannot accept infectious materials for immunizations
