Inactivation and Stability

Question:

Two Questions

How are the Herpesvirus preps inactivated and verified that they are so?

Do you have any data that you can share on the stability of the Herpese virus preps at elevated temperatures. ie. 4C.

Resolution:

The HSV extracts are inactivated with a detergent based methodology. They are assayed post-treatment to verify effective inactivation.
Regarding stability, in our methods of coating and assay, expiration dates in excess of 3 years at 2 - 8 C have been demonstrated.
You may want to evaluate our DryCoat product. It is often very successful in dramatically improving shelf life. Please see http://www.virusys.com/DryCoat_Assay_Stabilizer/drycoat_assay_stabilizer.html
