ICP0 in Flow Cytometry

Question:

I have a question for your HSV-1 ICP0 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog Number H1A027-100). If I am trying flow cytometry staining, will cells need to be permeablized first? Is the protein expressing in the cytoplasm?

Resolution:

ICP0 is a very early protein that expresses in the nucleus - not so sure regarding the utility of Flow Cytometry with this antibody.

Might be better to use a surface membrane protein such as gB, gG, gE or gD.
