HSV gD and Immunohistochemistry

Question:

I am looking for the antibody to detect the latent infection by immunohistochmistry / immunofluorescence on the human trigeminal ganglion which have shown a positive result in PCR for the HSV gD. I would like to ask you quick questions: Does this antibody detect HSV latent infection in human trigeminal ganglion: HSV1+HSV2 gD antibody (HA025)?

Resolution:

The sensitivity of PCR and antibody based technologies are not comparable in detection limits. The antibody will certainly detect the virus if the virus is present in sufficient quantities and the assay reagent concentrations have been properly optimized It seems that your question is not as phrased below - it is 'does the antibody work in immunohistochemistry procedures that use covalent modifiers such as PFA'. My answer would be that I do not know but would like to find out. If you want to test it and relay the procedure and the results back to us, we will offer a 50% discount on your NEXT purchase of 1 vial of antibody.
