gp125 Stability

Question:

QUESTION
------------------------------------------------------
I was wondering of you can tell me anything about the stability of the EV011 EBV VCA gp125 antigen.

I have noticed recently in our assay that there is some additional background binding occurring and was wondering if it could be from the antigen.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

ANSWER
------------------------------------------------------
The antigen is very unstable in the liquid form but seems to be fine once it is coated and dried. Unless they are compensating for loss of activity by decreasing the antigen use dilution, I don't have an answer. In stability studies performed here, we have not seen what they are describing. Some additional information would help.
