CMV Purified Virus

Question:

1. We would like to infect approximately 10^6 cells at an moi = 3 and need to know something about the titer.

Do you have any idea how the protein concentration of your prep corresponds to plaque forming units on normal diploid fibroblasts ?

If not...how about a correlation between protein concentration and expression of IE1 and Ie2 by immunoflouresence ?

2. Do you have any idea how clean this gradient purified preparation is in terms of potentially contaminating cellular debris ?

3. Is the HCMV glycoprotein B antibody you sell effective in neutralizing virus infectivity ?

thank you !

Resolution:

The virus we sell is generally for antigenic purposes only - it is supplied inactivated.

Purity estimates range from 10 - 25%.

The CMV gB Mab (CA005-100) we sell is NOT neutralizing.
