I am planning to express the HCMV ORF US28 in cells and therefore need mRNA as starting material. Could any of your HCMV products be utilized?
Resolution:
Our cellular CMV products have been sonicated which has very likely ruined any mRNA that may have been present. Perhaps you could use the CV046 Purified Virus, extract the DNA (will be intact - it has not been sonicated) and amplify via PCR for insertion into your expression vector. You may want to use Adenovirus if you are interested in expression in human cells.
