By any chance, does your #CA005 Cytomegalovirus gB mab cross react with murine CMV gB by Western? And does it detect the full length HCMV gB, as well as the cleaved product?
Resolution:
While this antibody works very well in western using human CMV (AD169) as antigen, murine CMV has not yet been tested.
The banding pattern in western indicates a 116 kd and 58 kd band corresponding with the full length and cleaved products. See [Click Here] for a picture of the western.
