CMV Flow Cytometry

Question:

I have a customer who are very interested in an antibody raised against a CMV-antigen that will work in Flow cytometry.
Do you have an antibody that will fit?

Resolution:

While we have not specifically tested our antibodies for Flow Cytometry, there are some that make sense and others that do not. For instance, there is no reason to expect that an antibody directed against a structural capsid protein or a non-structural polymerase would work in Flow Cytometry since these proteins are not expressed in the membrane of the infected cell.
Glycoprotein B, however, is present on the exterior of the virus and in the membrane of the infected cell. We feel that this would be your best target.
