Eggs are delipidated and purified via affinity based chromatographic methodologies. The final purified antibody is assayed for protein concentration and optionally examined for purity by coomassie stained SDS-PAGE or antigen activity by ELISA and/or western blot. Greater than 90% purity is typical.
